Phobias
No matter what the trigger is, your response may feel like intense fear or panic, overwhelming and debilitating and you might find that you go to great lengths to avoid the trigger which can greatly impact your quality of life and can be exhausting particularly when the symptoms can be felt just by thinking about it.
You might find that although logically you already know that this phobia is a fear without good reason, an irrational fear and not life-threatening, it still does not stop the fear response and that is because the response is subconscious, an instinctive and often learned response.
Hypnotherapy is an effective way to reframe the negative, unwanted instinctive response at a subconscious level, helping to reduce the emotional intensity, updating the response template with a more positive and rational one.
If a phobia has been limiting your life or keeping you from doing things you would like to enjoy, it does not have to stay that way. With the right support, it is possible to reduce fear responses, feel calmer in triggering situations, and regain a sense of freedom and control.
