OCD is an anxiety disorder and can include intrusive and distressing thoughts and urges or compulsions to carry out an action physically or mentally which appears to ease the feelings of anxiety however this is only temporary and the obsessional thoughts and compulsions return which cause a cycle as the sense of relief although temporary can make people repeat the process and this is driven by our emotional, primitive brain which has hijacked our thoughts and emotions.

Using hypnotherapy, we can re-programme the OCD pattern matching, help to reduce the anxiety associated with OCD, breaking the loop allowing you to change the negative intrusive thought patterns and instinctive compulsions enabling you to get back control.

If OCD has been impacting your thoughts, behaviours, or sense of control, you are not alone, and support is available. With the right approach, it is possible to reduce anxiety, loosen the grip of intrusive patterns, and begin feeling more confident in yourself again.

If you would like to discuss whether hypnotherapy could help in your situation, you are very welcome to get in touch for a confidential, no-pressure conversation about your next steps.
